The Interview….

First USA's interviews are conducted in a behavioral style. You will be asked questions about past experiences that will assess how well your skills could be utilized at First USA. Although First USA is a corporate casual environment, we do expect candidates to be in business attire throughout the interview process.

After the interview… What do I do?

You will be contacted within 5 business days via email regarding the status of your candidacy. If the outcome is positive, you will be invited to a site visit at our headquarters in Wilmington, DE.

The On Site Visit

The onsite visit will take place at our headquarters in Wilmington, DE. Your day will consist of 5-6 interviews with senior management in the areas we think you could make the greatest contribution. A typical day from a candidate's point of view is as follows:

7:00 a.m. -- Wake up and take a shower and get ready for my big day.

8:00 a.m. -- Arrive at First USA… Go into the Visitor's Center where the recruiting coordinator greets me and gives me my schedule of interviews for the day… gee it feels weird to be the only one wearing a suit!

8:15 a.m. -- Our day begins with an informal continental breakfast and company overview with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. What a great way to calm my nerves!!

9:00 a.m. -- It is time for my first interview… I went down to his cube all nervous, but within 2 minutes I was relaxed and being myself…

10:15 a.m. -- Recruiting coordinator tracks me to let me know my schedule has changed… more people want to meet with me!! How exciting and dynamic First USA is!!

12:00 p.m. -- Lunch in First USA Café with 2 recent grads from my school… it was great to talk about school and get some insight about First USA from someone who knows what a big decision this is…

1:30 p.m. -- I have a half hour break… Someone shows me First USA's fitness center and then takes me to Brew Ha Ha to relax with a cup of joe… How cool is it to have a meeting in a funky little coffee shop in the middle of the day…

3:00 p.m. -- Hop in the Eagle limo on my way to the airport… Can't wait to hear from the recruiters about the next steps in the process… So glad I came to Wilmington.

What happens next…

Within 10 business days you will be notified of the outcome of your interview process. If you receive an offer you will have 3 weeks to make your decision. We will work with you during this time to make sure you have the information you need to make the right decision.
